a portrait a day

I got this book for Christmas where you do a picture a day in different ways. . .It's a neat book so i figured I'd give it a try. You're supposed to pick a subject [i'll be doing portraits] and do it once a day for a year. so we'll see if it lasts. Here is my first one, something that fits in the palm of your hand.

I know it like the back of my hand

Hands are one of the hardest things to draw. but then so are eyes and i love to draw them. here's the back of my left hand.[I was drawing with my right hand.] I think it turned out pretty well. I like to draw my hands :). I think hands are almost as expressive as eyes. You can tell a lot from someone's hands.
